    • What happena when you realease said microbs into the ecology of the gulf and they consume all of the present food suplly cleaning up the gulf.
      Starts on anouther closly related supply of hydrocarbon life, Mammals, fish, reptiles, plants. Eventualy leaving a barren planet with a bunch of starving microbes.

      Okay, I was going to call that stupid but you haven't been schooled about these microbes. They are developed to eat one thing. Oil. When the oil is gone they lay dormant until guess what, more oil comes around and then they eat that. They can't eat living tissue matter of any kind be it fish, mammal, hydrocarbon life, reptiles or even plants.

    • It's the environmental agencies and the government bureaucracy that is 'looking into' all of the possible fixes. They are dragging their feet about OKing any because the fix might be bad for the environment!!!!!!

    • IF this workes as billed it's criminal not to use them. Actually I think this disaster will be used by our gangster government as justification for nationalizing at least portions of, the oil industry. The libs love it. They can demonize Bush, someone they tried to hang for eight years, big oil, capitalism, supposed lack of government control. Hell, this is a gift for the Obama types out there and you can bet it will be exploited.

      I agree, in fact I think they are intentionally slowing the process to exacerbate the effect on the world to give them a good reason to demonize the oil industry. 'Those big oil companies are such pigs.....make 'em pay big time' Right? Sure so we can continue to be dependent on other countries for their oil, because Russia and China are already reaping the drilling benefits of the decrease in glacial ice in the North east Alaskan Beaufort, Arctic sea area. We're still waiting to see if we might be allowed to claim any of that oil in our territory! Other countries laugh at us...because we continue "to bite off our nose to spite our face"....what morons

      It eats the oil and leaves no trace behind. You could put oil and water in a baby pool, put in these microbes, wait, and then drink the water completely safely. The reason they won't use this is that it would eliminate the oil and BP could not then retrieve some of the oil and separate the salt water and then sell for billions.
