We've written about the underwater sculptures of Jason deCaires Taylor before, but this is his most awesome project yet. In La Evolución Silenciosa (silent evolution), he created 400 lifelike human sculptures to become an artificial coral reef.
The sculptures are designed using materials that will attract sea creatures and eventually become a coral reef.

This is just miraculous. I liked everything- about this video, the humanity of the bodies and faces expressed so beautifuly in this alien world. The variety, honesty, and sincerity of the sculpture is just awesome. Thanks.

This is the kind of thing that archaeologists a thousand years from now will dig up and say "WTF?"
