I loved when he said the people protesting are drunks, drug addicts, and Islamic extremists. Because we all know Islamic extremists are the worst drunks and hog all the drugs.

I hope the developments in Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya are making dictators the world over uneasy.
There is a famous Cuban proverb - "No hay mal que dure 100 años ni cuerpo que lo resista" or translated, "There is no evil that lasts a hundred years, nor body that will withstand it."
If the people have lost their fear - then they have already broken their chains.

What a sweetheart. The man obviously has a pure lump of coal in his chest.
Now if a woman was running the country she would probably be looking after the people and giving flowers, food, shelter and people would respect her and think she was great. But you'd have to be a real dreamer to imagine that and live in the real world.

It was Mubarak's fall that lit the fuse world wide for people demanding changes. The huge difference is the ability for people to communicate to the world via the internet. Can European and Western countries stand by and watch (IN REAL TIME) these people being slaughtered? These repressive dictators are realizing I believe, the influence of world opinion and how it can affect them..could we see wide scale civil wars all over the world? I Pray for freedom for Libyans and other people fighting for lives....and I pray that Gaddafi's
time is coming to and end. - 2 years ago

He sure doesn't look confident and in control in that photo. If the western countries had balls, they'd boycott Libyan oil until Ghadafi and his spawn are out of the country and out of the picture. Europe could easily replace Libyan oil with Russian oil if needed.
See, for example: http://www.euractiv.com/en/energy/russia-builds-baltic-oil-pipeline-bypass-belar...

Pettigrew:
Nope - it is mostly exported by Libyan-owned Tamoil, along with a number of other smaller oil companies which are mostly European. BP only has exploration operations in Libya.
