Out of the 770 legislative roll call votes taken in the House this year, “more than one out of every five” were votes against the environment. Ninety-four percent of Republicans chose the anti-environment position on each vote.
While the Environmental Protection Agency bore the brunt of the GOP’s enmity with 114 votes against it, the GOP managed to find 191 ways to damage the environment

And this is why every legislator who voted for poisoning the People with industrial toxins should be imprisoned for life or deported for life without assets, in the very least. These legislators truly deserve capitol punishment, which I pray they receive.

This is my story about how valuable the EPA is.
When I was a kid in NYC in the early 70s, I would swim in the filthiest polluted water off the shores of Staten Island. I never saw a living creature in that water. But I did see beaches filled with the carcasses of prehistoric horseshoe crabs that managed to survive everything the earth threw at them but not the polluted waters around New York City. I had to use steel wool on my skin to get the tar off of my body. I often wonder if the fact that I swan in that toxic swill caused my subsequent health problems.
Because of the EPA, there is now life in the waters around NYC. It is not pristine, but it is much cleaner and not as terrifying. If that was all the EPA did, they would be too valuable to dismantle.
Politicians will not be happy until they kill and poison us all in order to make a profit. They are insane and could be defined as future mass murderers if they continue to have their way.
Citizens need to stop electing sociopaths and start electing leaders that will do no harm.

Same here.
When I was a kid listening to the Beetles we would play in the open sewer in the woods. It was fed by septic tanks running out on to the streets into the storm drains and dogs liked to lap up the putrid brown sludge trickling along the curbs.
In my teens listening to Led Zepplin I had the pleasure of swimming in the Cannonsburg dam which I later learned was highly contaminated with radioactive waste and heavy metals.
Those were the days the EPA came into existence. - 5 months ago
