Everyone has the right to their opinion. His, and hers, is just as valid as anyone elses. I understand that this acceptance of others ideas doesn't sit well with progressives. They consider anyone who does sing their song to be lesser mortals deserving of nothing. She needs to get used to it. The higher her husband goes int he polls or in primary success the more "villifying" will happen.

Karen Santorum is equally as guilty of the same crap that her hubby wubby who is secretly gay is. She had an adulterous relationship and fornicated before marriage. She is a hypocrite to her own faith.

I fail to see how you can 'love them', but not extend to them the same privileges you have.

Let's face facts.

First, even moderate democrats have to come out (no pun here :) against gay marriage even though they support all other rights. Where Santorum differs is his rhetoric has been far more homophobic and destructive in the past to pander to his conservative base.

Just because he's reining it in a bit lately doesn't mean he's not a bigot. Maybe his wife should look back at some of his hate speech in the past then place blame where it belongs; with her husband.

It's ok Santorum, you're not the only person to be vilified by a group of people.

After all, Darth Vader was vilified by those evil, godless, rebels.

"I believe" and "public policy" do not pair well. I believe is a subjective statement. Public policy is an objective consensus.

I am beginning to see how Santorum earned the rating "dumbest man in Congress."

Usually the more vehemently they deny it, the more likely they are in the closet themselves. That closet is really getting crowded with all the re-Pigs and right wing loons in there. Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, and that daddy of them all J Edgar Hoover, with his penchant for young boys, just to name a few. Santorum should not be allowed near dogs or children if he wants to talk like that about them. He's already taken anyway, I'm not sure what he is worried about. Well Karen, maybe gays "vilify" your husband because he attacks and vilifies them.

Her comments reveal two of the most obnoxious consequences of faith-impaired thinking: hypocrisy, and inability to comprehend irony.

This lady is delusional. Santorum has said some really ugly things about the gay community, as well as being a propagating the idea that withholding basic rights is the right thing to do, which is completely against what America stands for. And she is surprised that he's received such a negative reaction?

Well I agree I doubt he actually hates gays. I am sure that he in his moral benevolent loves the gays and believes that he must save them all from the terrible pits of hell, and protect the children of the nation from gay parents. (Oh god I need sarcasm font!)

And another thing I must add---His wife is even more of a blithering idiot...(if that's possible) by saying "my husband Rick loves everybody." Then she immediately follows that with basically "those goddamn gays hate my husband." Could it possibly be that he doesn't think they deserve the same rights?
