Star Wars Uncut: The Director's Cut

EclecticBadger
In 2009, Casey Pugh asked internet users to remake "Star Wars: A New Hope" into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted.

The result was a multitude of animation and acting styles, all carefully cut together into the full 2 hour epic, which has already exceeded 700,000 views since its release to YouTube in January 2012..

It's better than the works of an infinite number of monkeys ... it's the crowd sourced output of a collaboration of Star Wars geeks :)

    • Going through the many comments left on YouTube it is clear that a lot of internet users view Star Wars Uncut as an example (a symbol) of the kind of creative content that would have put the service provider at risk had SOPA and PIPA been sucessfully pushed through US government. Fortunately this has not happened.

However, whilst the battle for internet freedom is being fought by the Rebel Alliance, the war continues to be perpetuated by the Dark Side.

With a Man Show ap we current website males could have a very valuable,
very powerful resource to deploy to effect change. Think of it. The original
Kimmel & Corola butt crack spakle originaly used to eliminate ridicule, could
be adaptred as a droid function to do all sorts of wondrous things. Why, we
could even change the ap to a whip cracker spackle to repair the wrong
thinking of the powermongering, corrupt erected who've been greased by
the .01 % to quash dissent, and institute Red China style censorship. With
this light sabre whip cracker ap, we could even be the Return of the Jedi !!!

I'd have loved to have included some of my own viewer created content
as an addendum to the Star Wars I movie. But it would have required
giving Princess Leia more film footage. Maybe her bathing butt naked &
bare beam in a waterfall with some kewl mood music, as Hans Solo woke
out of a daydream to avoid navigating the Millenium Falcon into the event
horizon of a black hole. Now THAT would be footage worthy of a special
ltd ed. Director's Cut. Yeah, I think I'd drink to that.
