I salute this brave soul! Near death experiences do indeed cut through the bullshit of being polite to assholes of all varieties.
The Susan B group has dropped back from their blood soaked Christian stand on Planned Parenthood but it's too late for me and this lady and I hope for you too!

Thank you KB, for presenting this extremely touching video. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States. It is courageous of the lady in the video to describe, and show the horrible affect of the disease on the body. I wish her continued success in her recovery.

Cool, I always use the 'send to a friend to chime in' but sometimes I think it is better to send a PM with the link to folks if I see they are online, not to mention, I can only use that to send to folks whose name starts with an 'N'

Thanks KB. As a member of the Health Sciences I see the strength this woman is exhibiting all the time. I'm fortunate enough to be inspired on a daily bases by men and women who show great fortitude when faced with the most difficult and life altering consequences and decisions anyone can ever face. As she stated, the most important thing in a persons life when confronted with cancer or any other life threatening disease is the support group around them. When the patient and their family are considered an equal part of the care team, and medical personnel are honest and clear about the prognosis and the options and limitations of treatment, one of the most important and life affirming gifts is given to the patient and their families, the ability to make informed decisions. This woman and her family was obviously given that ability. A little tip for anyone who has an ill friend or family member. Do not ask them how they feel. This can create a negative environment for you both. Ask them how their spirits are.

That really depends on the line of work, for instance if you did insulation that sh*t gets on your clothes, hair, skin etc... If you smoke while at work, you are inhaling all the small particles on your clothes, skin and hair... I once removed asbestos and hazardous materials so I know a bit about fine particulates...

no he knew that I knew about asbestos
I was taught about asbestos in 1955 in the fifth grade and it wasn't until 1980's when the state of Missouri got involve about cancer causes
They got a big cigarette settlement - 4 months ago

cmc101:
Yes, many forms of asbestos was banned in 1974, however to be fair to the folks that had it in stock, from sheet rock to vinyl flooring were able to continue to sell the product as they had already spent money to buy it in the first place, I can only guess that it was in the early 80's that the last was sold off by the folks that had it in stock...
What's really F***ed up is that all the schools I removed asbestos from were then given fiber glass insulation, much more harmful to the lungs... I was Happy cos I thought, Cool, I will soon be coming back to remove that as well, however Clinton 's time in office was over and it was never mentioned again... Pretty F***ed up that we think we are sending our children off for education and sadly we are giving them to the elements, be it Fiber Glass from the heating and cooling air ducts or the Monsanto food they eat at school!!! =(

She reminded me of my mom. Brought me to tears. Beautiful and strong indeed. I wish her many years of healing. And she is so right. I too am so sick of seeing these issues being used as political weapons. I never supported Susan Komen foundation because to me they are nothing more than a corporate front organization. In a way it is good they outted themselves by what they did. Perhaps now women who suffer so thinking they will get help from this sham organization will be able to find a better way to seek the help they need.
