    • Brain-Dead...All of them...Absolutely Brain-Dead! What more is there to say? The future of this country is somewhere between the moderate and progressive liberials. The conservative/republican/teabagger/fascist party is dieing of uninterestedness by anyone with half a brain or the slightest bit of a heart.
No TRUE christian would ever consider being a republican. They smell 'funny' too.

Scary to think of Leen, but highly doubtful as well... I would like to see a democratic challenger, sad that we are always left with no choices, and stuck with the fear of who would be worse for the people.... =))=

Answer to everything??? There never was nor will there ever be free market capitalism...instead of listening to Dylan whose message you have co-opted to bullshit...study some history and then come back here and talk with the big people.

      Typical Left-winger non-response and distortion.

Left-wingers use what Thomas Sowell calls “All or Nothing” responses to “deny whatever needs denying.” This tactic “enables virtually any general statement, however true, to be flatly denied, simply because it is not 100 percent true in all circumstances.” Left-wingers use it to deny there is true liberty, for instance, or that there really is a free market. When a reasonable person praises the benefits of the free market, Lefties will say, “Show me where a completely free market is.” This method requires searching for any minute flaw or infinitesimal error and blowing it out of proportion. Liberals take them and contend that because of the “problem” they uncovered in a person or idea, everything related to, and surrounding either, is to be summarily rejected without exception or qualification.

I cannot refer to just the free market with you, your idea of a free market includes capitalism, yet all who really study this topic know that capitalism destroys free markets. How can it be free market when all power goes to the money?

You have absolutley NO idea what you are saying...you are only repeating crap you have picked from other people...probably all your life. Do your own due dilligence instead of spouting the propaganda of others...my response was not left wing, it was based on historical evidence. Instead of shooting your mouth off, go check these things out on your own and learn something. Then you can come back here and talk with the big people...

You are playing word games. Technically, capitalism refers to the means of production being held in the private sector as opposed to the government sector. In the free market, the role of government is minimal, and the market is controlled more by consumer demand and such as opposed to government controls.
There is really little point in playing such word games, of course.

Some people who own the means of production will try to increase their ownership and try to do it by any means: Bribing officials, controlling politicians, whatever. In that sense, those people are really hurting a free market because they are getting extra-free market controls imposed on the market.

I would appreciate it if you would not start obfuscating things by trying to start a contest of definitions, when it is obvious that Conservatives simply want the minimum of government interference in the market. They want the economy - the means of production - in the hands of the citizens, not the government. Left-wingers want more and more government management, control and ownership of the economy.

There is something quite ironic. Recently, I listened to my Bob Dylan collection. Looking at the CPAC Patriots, and knowing about the Tea Party Lovers of America, along with the incredible growth of FOX News, Conservative Think Tanks, and Radio Talk Shows, and especially the new-found respect for our military, this song applies today. Listen to Bob Dylan, Left-wingers; in this prophetic song, he is singing about YOU!

I was thinking watching it on an empty stomach might be safer. That's just an assumption because I still haven't seen it. I was watching Bill Moyers interview Bruce Bartlett. It was such a good interview that I posted it as a topic of conversation under "Right Wing Tax Policies Are Destroying America's Economy".

Bill Moyers is quite the hypocrite. He tried to get Goldwater declared "insane" by psychiatrists, for example.

Moyers was the hunter of "suspected homosexuals" in LBJ's White House.

      And in the Goldwater camp.

He helped Edgar Hoover in the bugging of Martin Luther King.

And Moyers "planted" questions in advance to reporters for LBJ's press conferences.

Moyers was nominated as one of the 50 most influential Progressives by Nation magazine.

Moyers’ jeremiads are outrageous. He claimed that Bush and Cheney were "feeding on the corpse of war."

Moyers compared people who wear American flag pins to people who adored the Little Red Book of the mass-murderer Mao.

Moyers asserted that the Republicans retaking the Senate in 2002 would unite D.C. behind "eviscerating" our environment. He hints that the rich, as a class have never really held jobs of any kind. Moyers also bemoans opinionated broadcasters who use florid language instead of dry recitation.
His hypocrisy knows no limits. Billybob Moyers denounced relationships between conservative foundations and conservative policy experts, while, at the same time, this miscreant was head of the Schumann Foundation. Moyers not only funded all his favorite left-wing institutions, he paraded them all across his programs that American taxpayer paid for!

Moyers denounces people for eating at the public trough in secret deals, but he specializes in profiting off PBS Home Video and other products he merchandises. Remember Moyer’s program "The Power of Myth," with new-age guy Joseph Campbell?

There was an interesting program entitled "PBS: Behind the Screen." It exposed Moyers: He had entered into a secret kickback deal granting him a cut of the book proceeds to Campbell's book. It was one of many such deals Billy has made to “profit” from “NONprofit” television.
Moyers continues to funnel millions of bucks to ultra-leftist causes via his foundation. Moyers will certainly continue to lecture conservative parts of the country about their greedy desire for tax cuts, broadcast from his gorgeous apartment in chic section of Manhattan.

They should. I liked the comment by Santorum in which he said the era of Liberalism is over. Left-wingers will be relegated to the sidelines and to the backrooms of universities screaming about Marxism.

There was an interesting comment by an honest and brilliant Liberal when the great Ronald Reagan was elected .

The Liberal Pat Moynihan said, “I’ll tell you what chills the blood of liberals. It was always thought that the old bastards were the conservatives. Now the young people are becoming the conservatives and we’re the old bastards.”

Hey, last February, he was selected by the America people as the greatest president in our entire history. Check it out.

But I disagree. Heck, there is George Washington, of course....

Left-wingers get apoplectic when – despite their unified invective hurled against him – Ronald Reagan not only remains one of the most beloved presidents in our history, but the public’s fondness for him grows and grows. President Obama, during his Christmas vacation in Hawaii in 2010, made sure that the reporters knew that he was reading a biography of Ronald Reagan; this led one of Reagan’s most esteemed biographers to draw a conclusion:

“The news that President Obama decided to read a biography of Ronald Reagan during his Christmas holiday in Hawaii might be taken as a sign that Reagan’s triumph over liberals is complete.”

In a February 2011 national poll by Gallup, the public was asked “who do you regard as the greatest United States president?” Reagan received the highest percentage, followed by Lincoln. In addition, the percentage of people who chose him as our greatest president actually increased from the previous year. Why is this? Left-wingers will never consider this question; the very idea terrifies them.

A national poll was taken just before Barack Obama assumed the office of the presidency in 2009. A news report of the results was entitled “Obama Should Emulate Ronald Reagan, Voters Tell Pollster.” Following is a summary statement:

“When given the choice of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, JFK, Dwight Eisenhower, Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan – registered voters overwhelmingly said they want the new Democratic president to emulate the late conservative Republican president, who held office in the 1980’s.”

And scholars were also queried: In 2000, a study was conducted in which 78 scholars from the fields of law, political science and history - “explicitly balanced [to have] approximately equal numbers of experts on the left and the right” - rated Ronald Reagan as our eighth greatest president.

In 2005, the Federalist Society and the Wall Street Journal asked 130 prominent professors of history, law, political science and economics - ideologically balanced - to rate our presidents. Reagan was ranked sixth in our entire history.
