Made in America - Obama for America 2012 Ad

KB723
I really think this is his strongest message...

It's going to ultimately be all about the economy. And the fact that he "bet" on the American worker when ANY GOP candidate is going to have been on record opposing that, should "clear the decks" of almost any chance the GOP has of winning. Heck, a great slogan for 2012 could be "Let's bet on America"...

    • Sorry to disagree but Obama is the only sane choice and the only one that is attempting to guide the ship back to where it needs to be. Not ONE of the GOP is fit to lead this country - Not one!!! The zombie American voters elected a ton of right wing extremist candidates that are doing nothing to help the country regain its footing. Had their been a small handful of fucking teapublican with a set of big and hairy ones to stand up for America, we'd already be in a better place! Nope, they decided to do nothing productive but obstruct this administration instead of sitting down at the table with honest intentions and working out a doable solution for the common good. The only thing they are interested in is shoving their religious dogma down America's throat and passing draconian anti birth control, anti abortion, anti gay, anti union, anti democratic (voter suppression) legislation.

I am a registered Independent and there is no fucking way in the world I will vote for anybody on the insane right at this point in time! Obama is the only one fighting to get this country back on track and given what he was saddled with - he's done a pretty great job. Am I happy with everything - absolutely not - but the alternative is just to frightening to give it one iota of thought.

    • Propaganda -- America's #1 manufactured product. Americans will buy this bullshit. The elite have already won this election. Their boy Obama has no real sane competition. I called this a long time ago. I knew it would play out like this.

Some of us will vote 3rd party, but it won't be enough. Too many people have bought into the failed logic that Obama is our only choice. He's not my choice. I'm not voting for him. I'm not afraid that if I don't vote for one of the elite-chosen candidates, that one of the other elite-chosen will win. That's not scary. Heck, if a Republican wins (not gonna happen) maybe the whole country will wake up the way WI did because of that bastard Walker. Things might have to get worse before they get better because, I'm not sure if you've all noticed, but look around. We are collectively a bunch of retards here in America, currently. Something has to wake more of us up.

    • Save all the jobs you want by printing that money from the Federal Reserve when moronic management leads businesses into bankruptcy. Just don't complain as your dollar continues to lose value and the middle class continues to be phased out by a monetary system making EVERYONE (people and businesses alike) reliant on government in some capacity or another for economic security.

If a bank robber robs a bank and is successful, you don't congratulate that bank robber and say it was okay because it worked.

    • And then GM gave their money to the Heartland Institute to push climate change denial.

      http://thinkprogress.org/green/2012/02/17/428111/exposed-the-19-public-corporati...

"Asked about the contributions, General Motors defended the Heartland Institute as “careful and considerate,” even though the radical think tank has accused “Government Motors” of “corporate welfare-sucking” and told people to “never again buy a GM car or truck.” Forecast The Facts has established a petition to GM asking them to stop funding climate denial."

    • Big oil makes enormous profits and is given millions from the government, meanwhile the Big American car makers had to be saved after bankruptcy. Does that add up. How could we bail out Wall St. and leave American workers to fend for themselves. "Let's bet on America", Wall St. already bet against America and they still got bailed out. President Obama did exactly what had to be done and the GOP supporter does not have the courage to admit that.

True, I think any GOP member would cry Foul, just cos they don't want to give any credit towards any accomplishments... Nice to see who is worth voting for, certainly not the GOP Party... =)

    • JohnA:

How many American companies file for bankruptcy in order to give them a chance to reorganize? It's quite common. Chapter 11 bankruptcy is not Chapter 7 bankruptcy. There was/is no reason to flush millions of American jobs down the toilet because of some inane right-wing ideological opposition. That isn't to say that some absurd corporations shouldn't be allowed to die (like BoA). But at this point in our history we need to address the lack of jobs and not whether a woman needs some kind of vaginal probe before she's allowed to get an abortion.

The GOP strategy of attracting "issue" voters worked when they could agree on more issues. However, at this point, the GOP has broken into factions that can't pull together a majority opinion on any individual issue. They should really be focusing on things that EVERYONE wants, like Obama is doing, not just things faction A or B wants. But they won't because they're narrow minded and have lost perspective. Not to belabor the issue. But this is the way I see the election playing out. The candidate selected to run against Obama will lose a large percentage of votes to a Ron Paul write in and Obama will win by a landslide (assuming a fair election that is).

Whether it is from or after bankruptcy American jobs were saved. GM and Chrysler, Wall St. and TARP, GOP and Democrats, plenty of failure to go around. Why so focused on the one of President Obama. I am not ignoring, I am looking at the big picture.

It's my money. I worked for it, they didn't. They take it out of my paycheck, but it was my sweat and toil that earned it. I'm the one paying the bills here, I pay the taxes. Fuck yes it is my money!

      about purchase of Alaska
      about building highways
about sending men to the moon
      about freeing the oppressed
      about curing polio
      and I hear you

You people kill me - drop the victim and 'only about me' mentality about how put out you are with any program meant to help this country survive because you didn't get a fucking check. If steps weren't taken to stop the free fall, this country would have reached depths far greater than any other time in our history. I suggest you Google the Great Depression and see how the images and hardships the entire country suffered, amplify that by about 10, and let me know how that sits on your chin.
