I just mean occupation is much less direct and takes so much more time and effort.
I dont know who would kill more or less its just my guess
and if a state has the right to choose the people will decide whats right for theyre own community. how is that not completely right? - 1 year ago

Even if he did not write them, he published them, approved them, and made a great deal of money off of them.
And the newsletters are only the tip of the iceberg as far as Paul's racism goes.

Denounced them? He published them and sold them! He only denounced them after he tried to deny them and got caught!
Check your facts, he sold them and made millions selling his racist trash to militiamen and other white supremacists in the 80's and 90's.

RichLoudMagic:
USA Today: An article in Reason magazine said [Ron Paul's] newsletter company had income of more than $900,000 in 1993, citing tax documents.
From the same article:
"Paul's accounts of the newsletters' contents have varied since 1995. He told The Dallas Morning News in 1996 that the contents of the newsletters were accurate but needed to be taken in context. At the time, Texas Democrats were circulating copies of the newsletters as they campaigned against Paul's return to the House.
In 2001, Paul told the magazine Texas Monthly that the language in the newsletters wasn't his, but that his campaign staff told him not to say others had written them because it was "too confusing.""

Actually, Ron Paul's views on how he thinks slavery should have been abolished says a lot about how racist his views are.
He is of the opinion that instead of going to war, the North should have bought the slaves their freedom. There are two problems with this idea from Ron Paul.
The first is that Lincoln actually tried to purchase the slaves from the South, and the South would not accept because the South was dependent upon slave labor for their economy and did not desire to change. This does not prove that Ron Paul is a racist.
The second is, why the fuck should the United States government have to purchase people from its own citizens to free them from slavery? The Southern slave owners made profits for a few centuries before the civil war, long before the United States became a nation unto itself. If anything, the Southern slave owners should have owed their slaves roughly three hundred years in back pay for the provided labor over the generations.

He is a nut there is just too many stupid things with him!
Like what he says!
"Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations."
OR
You're thinking of Europe as Germany and France. I don't," he said. "I think that's old Europe."Really people stop pretending! Look at him!
France? Even them voted in a socialist!!!

He's really got enough delegates to shut down the convention too....
They really aren't going to bow to Romney, the damn ballots will be marked and wrote on top of it "RON PAUL" to avoid any misconception on the ballot in November....
His methodology of capturing the most delegates happens to be completely legitimate, and Romney is going to have to do quite a bit more than offer concessions, because; Romney won't win period. At least Ron Paul can actually beat Obama, and we won't have to "occupy" Afghanistan for a whole quarter century...

EngineeredObsolescence:
"Ron Paul, a Republican Congressman from Texas, is an unconventional contender in the 2008 presidential race. His principled stance against the Iraq War, a potential war with Iran, and all preemptive wars, stands in stark contrast to his fellow Republican candidates. He also supports limited federal government, lower taxes and debt reduction, while sharply criticizing the Patriot Act and the war on drugs. These are unique positions for a contemporary Republican politician, and for a "fringe" candidate, he's garnered a disproportionate amount of support. A genuine grassroots Ron Paul movement has emerged, especially on the internet, and surprisingly, among people with liberal-leaning views. Many of them are appalled at the direction taken by our country under Republican leadership, and would otherwise never consider supporting a Republican. But they're also disillusioned by the inaction of the Democratic Congress, and drawn to Paul's boldness and determination to end the Iraq War. They've organized massive donation drives, contributing over $4 million to Paul's campaign in one day, and are changing their party affiliation to vote for him in the primaries. However, liberal-leaning Ron Paul supporters are working against their own interests. They've glossed over one crucial fact: He's a strong social conservative."

I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, but I think this is really cool. Sometimes, albeit rarely, I agree with him. But I love the voice he gives to American politics, and love the passion that his supporters have. Ron Paul is a positive force in American politics, even if I view most of his positions as wrong. We need a more diverse range of opinions than the two-party, polarizing, system allows.
