We do well on the farm;eat like kings, and are happy just "being".Husbandry is caring for all living things. In caring for others we receive tenfold.
Wealth is not measured in money.

My grandfather survived the depression that way. he had to both farm and work. The whole family did. It was hard. But it was much better than what many people had. Even in the fifties I remember desperate travelers asking for work or food. We only had a few acres. But it was irrigated farmland. Speculators own it now. It has been cleared of buildings now and sets vacant. I am too poor and old to farm it. But I would sure like to try. The city's rules are the bigest barrier.

Our greatest accomplishments occurred during this time.
The past 8,000 years of interglacial saw the rise of agriculture and cities. I'm not convinced that this was an improvement, for humans or the planet. - 5 months ago

I agree. We have to start giving back to the earth in order to make it.
