    • The end made me cry!
Children are always a great reminder of how ridiculous we can be sometimes. They just go with what is natural and right to them, not what is taught.
That was really a great moment

Also, I was thinking throughout half the pod, "My goodness I could never be a journalist. I'd be running by now!" All the good in my heart would not be enough for me to stay there filming. Thanks for that revelation :p

    • The wall is a necessity for Israel. Without this wall and security checkpoints, Palestinian terrorists would have a much easier time blowing themselves up in Israel. I was disgusted by the protesters who approached a RESTRICTED military zone at the border, preaching peace and love, and requesting the soldiers to retreat and pull out their tanks, and then minutes later they begin throwing rocks at the soldiers. The Palestinians should be protesting THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT for preaching hate, and teaching their youth that killing themselves in the midst of murdering innocent Israeli's is the best way they can serve their country. The Palestinian government is a terrorist government and the Palestinian people have nobody to blame but their own government for it coming to the point where a wall had to be put in place. My mom is currently in Israel right now and I have to say I feel a whole lot more assured that the wall is there for her protection.

    • reminds me of kids throwing rocks at riot police in Quito. Tear gas burns where every you are on the planet. Thanks for the report. Christof is right, the moment between the solider and boy says it all.

    • I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS STORY SO MUCH. THANKS FOR THE PIECE, YOU GUYS REALLY TAKE THE VIEWER THERE AND PAST, I LOVE THE LIVE FOOTAGE ALOT.

ABOUT THE WALL, MAYBE IT IS NOT SO BAD. TO ME, I THINK THAT IT IS A MUST TO HAVE. PEOPLE AT SOME POINT, MUST GO THROUGH CHECK POINTS, VIA SECURITY PURPOSES. I MEAN, RARELY DO I LOOK AT THE NEWS AND ISRAEL IS MENTIONED, AND VIOLENCE HAS NOT BROKEN OUT SOMEHOW OR SOME WAY. BUT APPARENTLY THEIR IS A PEACETREATY GOING ON OVER THERE, I HOPE THAT THIS WORKS OUT FOR THE BETTER.

    • Humans have been building security barriers like this for hundreds of years. Just think of the walled medieval cities of Europe, the Great Wall of China or the Berlin Wall. So in some ways, this is nothing new. But the question is, do walls work?

    • There is particularly evocative video in this pod from a protest at which teargas was fired. I haven't heard much about the wall since it was built. Most of what I have read is extremely critical and depicts the barrier as a gross violation of the Palestinians' basic human rights. This is what the Israel government has to say:http://www.securityfence.mod.gov.il/Pages/ENG/default.htm
