    • Even though they are unattractive, there is a reason for calluses to be there and removing them is not always a good idea, especially if you spend most of your time on your feet. Just standing for a few hours after having them removed can be incredibly painful. If you think they're ugly, the best way to make your feet aesthetically pleasing without hurting yourself is just some daily maintenance with a pumas stone.
I was wondering why even your relatively benign pieces make me nauseous? Why Vanguard, why?

    • I agree with thedez, barring unknown nerve problems there's no way 5 thorns of that size would go unnoticed. Additionally, splinters fester until rejection is complete. What sort of crazy plant produces thorns with backward-facing hooks necessary to inhibit that process? Wouldn't their removal be painful and/or bloody? I didn't notice the doctor's diploma so I can't question his schooling....

    • 5 thorns and you couldn't feel any of them before?
sounds like the guy was doing some slight of hand, the reason he didn't want to be filmed......

    • How fun! Thanks for putting this together. It was both entertaining and educational. Banana hammocks, foot thorns and snake penis… oh my! All the vanguard correspondents are great. They are knowledgeable, personable and engaging. The people the correspondents met along the way, and the predicaments they found themselves in, were memorable. I fee that, although the topics featured in this pod were somewhat sensational, I still learned something special about each of the featured cultures through their unique habits and customs. It was wonderfully shot and edited. I can’t wait for part 2!
