    • Wow. The most important natural resources are people. I am so depressed to think of the impact on the family/community structure of these people when most of the young men are dying or disabled.
Poor people -everywhere-depend on their social activities. These divers lose the ability to dance, date and play with their children. Not too mention they will have a life of pain & discomfort. Lobster is not worth it!

    • I'm a diver and I always try to respect the environment. But it saddens me that the bright and vivid colors are disappearing from all across the world.

On a different note, I never seen a DCI injury so this pod was even that much more important to me.

      Thanks

    • Another great piece, and an important one, because it points to the depletion not only of ocean life, but it's really a sign of the times... Natural resources of all kinds are disappearing and being depleted everywhere. We're beginning to see how exploitation of the ocean, land are changing and threatening the way we live. The human footprint is huuuge, and like this lobster example, we're really starting to see it.
