I believe the leader of this misguided mass is an ex-military fanatic. How this group of guerilla nazis has gone on doing these things is outrageous i dont understand why ther russian government doesnt do anything about it.

i helped with translating the pod for christof and here's my translation of entry by knauer:
this exists in russia, but also in any other country in the world.. probably such "manifestations of love to motherland" were, are, and will be.. the man remains the "man" for many centuries. this is the necessary pod! we are thinking all together..
for me this has been a very uneasy experience to translate.. it brings feelings of deep shame, sadness and disbelieve how far things have gone.. this was always an issue in russia (not as much during communism), but it is completely out of hand now. sad to see this is what idea of great russian patriotism is reduced to now. also, we (me and generations before me.. maybe not after me..) were brought up with stong anti-war, anti-fascism feelings, there is no family in russia not affected by war. all fascist propaganda was prohibited by law. it obviously got loose now. shameful for the country where millions were killed..

One of the best pods on Current TV. This is truly powerful work and gives me great hope for the future of our young network.
Also, I recently read an article about a growing government sponsored youth movement called: "NASHI" that is supposed to combat these skinheads and other fascists groups in Russia. I would like to know your take on this initiative, to me it just seems like they are just throwing more fuel into the fire.

Speaking to Lanny's point, I rememmber back in the Yahoo/Current days seeing people rate a video 1 star (out of 5) because they thought the person being profiled was dumb (for instance), but from their comments it was clear that they really liked the video.
I agree that the language needs to be clearer.
Oh, and nice work Christof!

wow, great work Christof, that was one of the most intense and painful videos to watch. I think your point about becoming an unwitting carrier of their message is an important issue and one that journalists should always take into account. Thank you for brining this story to Current, even though it's painful to see such hatred going on in the world.

Here's the Google Language translation of KnauerA's response. I think it gets the point across, but not gracefully.
there are such in Russia, but also in any other country in the world ... perhaps such manifestations of "love" to be home, and there will be ... people ostaetsya "rights" over many centuries. reportage desired! I think all along ...

I was born in Moscow and I've always wanted to go back but this news frightens me. On the other hand refusing to travel there because of this would be bending to the fear-mongering of these Neo-Nazis.

I really liked the video you made and it was a change from the five minuteish videos that are normally played. I do think that the Russians are brainwashed into following a dead mans belief who disliked Russia and died fighting them.

we have spent a lot of back and forth on wording for this specific reason. sounds like we have more thinking to do... thanks for pointing out.

I have to agree with Isolator, clicking the "like it" button made me queasy. I too appreciated this information even though the last minute left me with chills of terror. Good work and thank You.

Lanny's comment is well taken; we at Current should re-evaluate this language so as to clarify. Thanks.

well done christof.
The scenes of the training with the superflous fire was very curious. It looked like a bunch of kids playing solder, unfortunatly these are full grown men.

These are full grown men fighting for their country! The unwanted invaders need to stay home and leave Russia for the Russian people. They are not welcome in Russia. They should stay away. Bravo to those who stand up for their country!

Your survey "I like it"/"Nope" -- is not presented well. The question "I like it" can too often be taken to ask whether you liked what you saw. That's not the question. The question is "good show"/"bad show" or "good production"/"bad production".
E.g, "From Russia with Hate". To say "I like it" FEELS like you're asking if you liked what you saw. No. It's creepy. It's horrible. It's tragic. But the truth is, I really appreciated seeing this, and the production by Christof Putzel was well done.
