I don't quite understand why this is so great, I mean, sure it's hi-tech and all, but its kinda big, and doesnt seem to do much more than alot of regular wheelchairs today.

I guess having an ultra high-tech wheelchair gives a guy (or girl) who just lost his legs in battle a little extra dignity.
One might feel a little less handicap and little more robocop.
