In this scene from Vanguard's "Soccer's Lost Boys," a coach in Ghana details for correspondent Mariana Van Zeller the alarming treatment of young players in West Africa.
As South Africa hosts the 2010 World Cup, the focus will be on many of the continent's brightest stars in soccer, including Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o. US Sports agents are similar to this man, except he's not rolling around in an expensive car, with an unlimited charge account to entice them to choose him. Make no mistake in thinking that the LeBron Jameses of the world aren't picked early. LeBron was watched as early as some of these kids - that's how they knew to hold him in their sights for a draft to the NBA as soon as he was eligible - at 18.
