Nominated for what? If you have had Journalism 101 this is a puff piece of tabloid garbage. I am not saying this problem doesn't exist. I am saying that it is poorly done. "Pill related deaths"? is that from all pills or just Oxycontin? any preexisting conditions? Age? No just flat stats to puff it up like a peacock. Who is this kid? What is his drug history,arrest history.I bet ya a dime to a dollar hes a garbage head ( will take rat poison to get high on).His girlfriend died from one pill? one pill of what? Bull garbage I betcha her toxicology report came back with several drugs in her system. This is a fight over real big bucks people and it has nothing to do with abusers, People abuse NyQuil down here they mix it with orange juice. They also boil angel trumpets. They lick frogs to get high. Please Don't forget the cocaine problem that's another great story they have been dragging around since I was a Kid. Don;t you find it suspicious that these problems existed 30-40 yrs ago and still aren't solved. It's about MONEY not people who will kill themselves on anything.The best part of this piece is they state you can get the drugs on every corner, you basically fall over it, but when the kid goes to score he has to get it off some poor old lady i think he gets 3 -4 pills, and by the looks of this guy he stole em from her! Let me take the journalist's narrow view vote on immigration reform and all our problems will go away. I mean if your going to be narrow and peddle it do it all the way.
