Life And Death On The Border: Vanguard Premiere

Vanguard correspondent Christof Putzel travels to the U.S./Mexico border to investigate one of the most contentious issues in America today: immigration. Meeting with "coyotes," the hired smugglers who offer to take illegals across the border for a fee, Putzel learns the methods immigrants use to evade border patrol and the dangers they face on the journey. Arrest and deportation are inherent risks, but the lack of water and scorching temperatures of the desert crossing are far more deadly. Those who do make it safely across the border face tightening immigration laws and an increasingly hostile public. Putzel ultimately crosses the border with a migrant and coyote.

"Life And Death On The Border" premieres Monday, November 15 at 9/8c on Current TV.

    • 11 bleeping million?!?! god what is this? i mean they should either come leagily or not at all. i prefer not at all. this is getting pathetic. i seen at least 7 shows like this and i don't see why the government don't do nothing about it cause they obliviously know where they are coming out of. It has got to be one of the Americans worst problem besides drugs.
      If they do come here then learn English i hear in schools, business, public places at least 60% of the people there are speaking Spanish. America was founded by English men, NOT SPANISH. it gets on my nerves that they get acepticed for jobs and not the Americans we need they money.
      they come here for a "better life" well there lies maybe getting better but the more they come the worse ours get. Fix the economy there. then you wouldn't have to kill you self for coming here, it is stupid.
      I am native American and its quite bothersome that people come up to me and my family and say hablo espanlo i freak out on them, yet they have the courage to ask that. sadly if your darken skin the first thing that come to mind is oh there Mexican. NOT NATIVE AMERICANS!
      This is my opinion about this whole mess of immigrants.

      60% percent of americans speak spanish? wtf does that even mean, you have a beef with people who are bi-lingual or you actually believe the majority of americans today moved here illegally?
