In "Life And Death On The Border," Vanguard correspondent Christof Putzel travels to the U.S./Mexico border to investigate one of the most contentious issues in America today: immigration. Meeting with "coyotes," the hired smugglers who offer to take immigrants across the border for a fee, Putzel learns the methods used to evade border patrol and the dangers they face on the journey. Arrest and deportation are inherent risks, but the lack of water and scorching temperatures of the desert crossing are far more deadly. Those who do make it safely across the border face tightening immigration laws and an increasingly hostile public. Putzel ultimately crosses the border with a migrant and coyote.

"Life And Death On The Border" premieres on Monday, November 15 at 9/8c on Current TV.

    • Where can we watch this episode? I am a UCLA student writing a paper about an immigration and this episode is an except to the daily news reporting around the subject of immigration, which I come to expect from a fellow Daily Bruin. however, i find it to be unaccessible. I thought this series was to educate, why withhold it?

    • how do i delete my USELESS vanguard account? this shitty website has made it clear that fans that support the show don't deserve to be inside the circle.

      this is proof that the "powers that be" at vanguard don't give a shit about the issues. just because vanguard is inefficient at pumping out episodes doesn't give them the right to milk it and play dumb to fans with legitimate grievances.

      from this day on i will NEVER knowingly contribute or fund any campaign vanguard "supports", as they are capitalist fear mongers who's only motivation is advertising.

      vanguard's progressive? yeah, and fox is "fair and balanced".
