Vanguard correspondent Adam Yamaguchi went deep inside a long, intense investigation into marijuana trafficking -- but he didn't expect the contact high he got when Mexican authorities showed him their stash of seized drugs.

California has become one of the leading producers of marijuana in the world--most of it produced by Mexican drug trafficking organizations. And the proceeds from marijuana have become a cash cow for traffickers, generating greater profits than cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin combined.

"Marijuana Wars Part 1" premieres Monday, November 22 at 9/8c on Current TV, and "Part 2" premieres Monday, November 29.

"Vanguard," airing weekly on Current TV Mondays at 9/8c, is a no-limits documentary series whose award-winning correspondents put themselves in extraordinary situations to immerse viewers in global issues that have a large social significance. Unlike sound-bite driven reporting, the show's correspondents, Adam Yamaguchi, Kaj Larsen, Christof Putzel and Mariana van Zeller, serve as trusted guides who take viewers on in-depth real life adventures in pursuit of some of the world's most important stories.

    • The fed needs to repeal marijuana prohibition and replace it with a $100 per ounce import tax. Look into Coca Cola's patent formula with Cola again and create a taxable market for Coca. Defuse all these bad guys by restructuring the marketing economics.

    • And the producer just stays down near the smoke. xD

What's the point of attempting to eradicate the plants when you're just going to burn them and make the nearby people high?

Contact high ? Current.com hails from San Francisco, California.
Unless I've been living in another of Einstein's quantum parallel
universes for the past nearly 62 years, BOTH the City, and their
Great Bear State are known to be the Vanguard of all the USA.
When you're looking at being the height of heights of Journalism
it shouldn't be considered out of bounds to experience the real
thing. Current.com runs Jack Herer news articles here all the time.
The Press is only der Spiegel (the mirror) of society. And the fact
of the matter is that MJ has been with Americans for 400+ years.
More Californians than you know secretly experience occasional
smoking highs. We have Organized Crime running the show in the
USA BECAUSE of Prohibition. It would be dyslexic to delude ourselves
to believe the propaganda that it's the "law" that produced the effect
of international Racketeering, Warfare, terrorism, anarchy, chaos.

Our charter law, aka our Constitution, only authorizes the Government
to enact Statutes which promote the domestic tranquility, and produce
the national security. Is anyone here foolish enough to assume it has ?
We must eliminate the scourge of Prohibition causing the violent
overthrow of our State Governments' guaranteed ability to deliver
equal Protection & equal Justice to ALL citizens without Discrimination.
It's a fact that due also to the Federal Government's mismanagement
of the coining of money, Oakland, and other California cities can't afford
to investigate Burglaries, which are a main source of of Murder 1.
How bad does it have to get before these squareheads wake up?

You can't depend on the monstrosity that is the "Federal" Gummint
to do that. They've fucked up their Constitutional duties so badly
that for 96 years they've let foreign banks use their cartel to print
bogus counterfeit money. When Gold hits $2,000 an ounce, and
20% hyperinflation in food prices hits in 2011, your "dollar" will only
be worth 1% of what it was in 1907, although from 1792-1932 the
value of Gold was a stable $20 an ounce. I own a St.Gaudens
double eagle. I'm an authority on what makes money, real money.

I started out as an apprentice Journalist when there were wheat
ears on Lincoln cents. I have experienced MJ. It has rewired my
brain. Because of its wonder drug prophylactic effects, I will outlive
most of the people who are born this Christmas not merely because
my genes fate me to..Because I eat right, and because I still respond
to working out with weights exactly the same now as I did 25 years ago..
But because I'm now immunized against 90% of all known infectious &
degenerative diseases. By energizing the cannabinoid receptors in my
body, which the past 60,000 years of anthropological human history
      - originating in Africa- bequeathed to all modern Cro Magnon humans
who have evolved using it since, I don't need any Nobamacare Racket
to know my life force is every bit as essential & powerful now as when
I was 22. It also helps to know I'll have the money needed to extend my
longevity. I've been studying the breakthroughs for many years also,
and I have a pretty good idea I'll be in the Vanguard of the advanced
long after others have turned to dust in their graves because of MJ.
My living in the Netherlands & Switzerland will guarantee that I will.

I only wish that in my personal experience with it 43 years ago, I'd
had the luxury of using an inhaler to administer it to my brain. My
lungs are in good shape again, but they're expected to last a lifetime.
My uncle had one of his lungs removed surgically after oversmoking
tobacco cigarettes collapsed it and was cancerous. It would have
saved a lot of wear & tear on my lungs if my friends were from even
higher society with money. Then, I think, their parents would have
used inhalers, and would have introduced their kids to inhalers too.
You know, MJ only enhances one's natural mind set. It realy doesn't
make ALL people stupid. I was categorized as bright/normal with a
very high IQ before my experience with it. And I still read books now.

We have Jounalism because we're modern Cro Magnon humans. If you
care to see a video description of what being modern Cro Magnon means
on its harmonic wavelength from ancient Cro Magnon people, watch the
trailer to Steven Spielbergs Amazing Stories TV series sometime. It'll trace
60,000 years of human history by invention in 60 seconds. And isn't that
the point of standing upright and having opposable thumbs ? To use tools
effectively. There was a great accelleration of inventions in the 20th century.
They claim it amounted to more than all the progress that had been made in
the past 2,000 years. In the next 20 years alone, you'll see more radical change
due to advanced tech than in the past 100 years of the 20th century. If you
were to graph it, it would resemble the takeoff of a jet passenger plane from
an airport on an intercontinental domestic flight or even an intercontinental
international flight. I've experienced both. So I have a pretty good idea that
Current.com is our Jefferson Airplane to that future.(The San Francisco sound too)
