The companies that are left after this recession are all pretty good. It depends also on where and what you have in mind to do,

I love maguro sushi but personal responsibility has to come into place. Raise the price and make it a delicacy and not an everyday fish millions can consume too easily. The problem is the fishing industry will keep supplying the demand as long as there is money to be made. Commercial exploitation of natural resources just continues to sound the death knell for our world

I live in Japan now. A lot of people here know about this, but the average person feels that they can't do anything. Even if they just stop eating it, the fishing won't stop and just get shipped off elsewhere. Personally, I think a political movement here is the only thing that will change this. But the way politics in Japan have been going lately, I just can't see that happening. Crazies like Tokyo Governor Shintarō Ishihara would rather go after frivolous things that get him re-elected and make comments about how everything is a "divine retribution" to one group or another.
Losing the Bluefin would be a divine retribution indeed.

Wow, great job showing all sides. I think we need to stop killing everything or it is going to get lonely. God knows we don't seem to like each other. :P

Missed this when it originally aired the other day, but I'm getting ready to watch it right now. Even just watching the trailer gives you serious reason to think, about how we abuse our resources. We need to open our eyes and realize the impact we have on the world around us.

We are "loving" the entire planet to death. Interesting piece. A shame so many do not understand that our over consumption is not only hurting tuna, but so many other species and that eventually leads up the web of life. It is also sad to watch knowing what took place in Japan not too long after this. Beautiful country.

Mmmmmmmm. Fish. Can't beat the taste, and the feeling. And if
you skip dessert, you still come away knowing the brainpower &
longevity you get from eating it are still the icing on the cake. Voted up. - 11 months ago

I lived in Tokyo for eight years back in the 1960s & 70s. During that time period I fell in love with sushi in all its available forms but especially the sinfully rich tasting o-toro from the bluefin tuna. The yellowfin, also called ahi or big eye, is not endangered yet so, even though it rates an A rather than an A+, will have to do until the bluefin population recovers.
Please fellow sushi lovers, don't doom future generations of raw fish eaters to a life without an occasional piece of the world's tastiest food!
