I moved from Massachusetts to Florida and raised my sons there. My youngest son was an oxy then heroin addict and, of course, turned to selling. Florida was a hotbed for this for sure. This video certainly didn't surprise me. This is devastating not only to the addicts but the families. From my experience trying to navigate through my son's addiction, I authored my book "Sweat: A Practical Plan for Keeping Your Heart Intact While Loving an Addict" and subsequently produced my radio show "Addicted to Addicts:Survival 101" to support those who love addicts and alcoholics. We can use all the information, possibilities and hope that we can get.

your gateway to heroin wasnot totally true, the relatively small amount of oxy related death is no where near the crack related deaths in minority neighborhoods,i think its because the deaths of oxy is basically middle class and affluent white kids, thats why its a" national epidemic",and crack related death is black and hispanic in poorer neighborhoods even though it kills 3 times as many people, the war on drugs cocaine, heroin, and speed, those are the drugs that need to be fought against, not medication

Go to a drug den in Savin Hill Dot sometimes the crazy kids are more dangerous then the 90% fake serious people out there. My movie is self serving to the THOUSANDS of supports I have across the country.it also serves a disturbing message about that collateral damage of drug abuse. YA MOTHA.

It looks like you found the facts to fit your story. I don't see anything about this story that is not self serving. My guess this is just another case of third rate (leaning towards yellow) journalism. This may be popular, easy and fast but it aint journalism.

You may want to pull this one to retain your credibility. These boys pulled a fast one on you. People like myself have high hopes for Current TV as a bringer of truth in a world of corporately owned mainstream media. I give the producers the benefit of the doubt that they had the best intentions, and didn't know these "thugs" were fake. Consider this a learning opportunity.

These guys were obviously showing out for the camera. Did you notice the things they had stolen? I work in construction and the hardware they had, if they were sold to shady contractors would barely bring $100 much less the amount the $1500 the dealer said it was worth. I dont think it was fake but just some neighborhood guys trying to get some clout. I love current and the type of reporting they do but Marianna prob thought it was more than it really was because she has never been exposed to that type of scenario.

I hope you didn't fear for your life from these rich kid wannabes. The gun this "drug dealer" has is an 8mm replica. There is no actual 8mm firearm in production. These replicas are made 8mm specifically so that no one on a movie set can put a real bullet in them and hurt anyone. In the scene with the two "bullets" and the line of whatever drug, you can see they are blanks. If they are packing fake guns, I wonder what's in the bags.
I have always had respect for Vanguard, and Vanguard does alot of documentaries involving firearms so I hope this was a mistake and not Vanguard trying to pass off these fake gun toting, rich kid wannabes as dangerous drug dealers just for the sake of drama. - 12 months ago
