Correspondent Christof Putzel travels to the U.S./Mexico border to investigate one of the most contentious issues in America today: immigration. Meeting with "coyotes," the hired smugglers who offer to take immigrants across the border for a fee, Putzel learns the methods used to evade border patrol and the dangers they face on the journey. Arrest and deportation are inherent risks, but the lack of water and scorching temperatures of the desert crossing are far more deadly. Those who do make it safely across the border face tightening immigration laws and an increasingly hostile public. Putzel ultimately crosses the border with a migrant and coyote.

    • Love this documentary. Should be viewed by every American complaining about the Mexican border. There's definitely more going on there than most understand and no simple solution.

      Amen! When I hear the ignorance people spout on a daily basis about undocumented workers, I want to scream! When I am not biting my tongue off, I usually ask, "So what do you think they are leaving if they're willing to risk their lives to clean our toilets and pick our fruit? I'm sure it's not Wonderland!" That usually shuts them up.

    • this is a very but so real documentary. I am hispanic and my spouse is one who more than 30 years ago crossed the border in the same circumstances. I feel bad for the families who still wonder where their loved ones are, when some are probably in unk. cemetaries
