Your reactions to 'This (Illegal) American Life'

The word, "ILLEGAL" comes to mind here. Why does this site aim to degrade everything that is American. Marijuana is ILLEGAL in every nation on earth, regardless of what you've heard; however, this group attempts to find some imtellectual reason why some should be allowed to use it - HELLO? ILLEGAL aliens (yes, illegal, not undocumented) come into this nation with their very first act of breaking the law. Why are they not jailed instead of simply returned home? Because the very people who are called hate mongers are compassionate. The liberal hate mongers are the ones who would murder a defenseless child who has never seen the light of day. They are the ones who would walk on the freedom that millions have fought and died to preserve. These are the ones who think nothing of breaking the laws of this nation while relying upon the security provided by these laws.

I dont understand what part of "ILLEGAL" is not understood? It is illegal to live here and work and go to school without a citizenship! These people would not have to live in fear of being arrested by immigration if they obeyed the law! Its that simple.

this was a very nice documentary. I liked that people got to see the hardships of illegal immigrants and all the things that they must overcome to get here in the U.S. - is it right? -NO! but it is not their fault that they were born in another country that wasnt the U.S..... I have mixed feelings and views. Im not for illegal immigration, but some of the things people say about mexicans are just plain wrong! .... And for the Sherriff Deputy in AZ and the governor to pass a law where they can "detain" anyone looking of mecican descent? I thought we were done with racism? boy, was I wrong. There are tons of Mexicans or shall I say "HISPANICS" in the U.S. that are born in the USA, dont speak spanish and have never been to mexico and also neither have the parents but are dark and look like they are from Tijuana! I just think a lot of people need more education about this topic and there has got to be more that can be done to help illegals in soome way or another.... bottom line i guess is, that I am still human and it saddens me!

I thought your documentary was nice, but inconclusive at best, especially since it covered mostly the 'emotional' side of the question, not so much the legal statutes of Federal law and laws of many states.
As I see it, there is Absolutely NO excuse for a child, brought here illegally, whom "know no other home" should continue in their 'illegal' status once they hit the age of 18. They are, after all, adults now and responsible for thier own actions, no longer protected by the excuse that their parents brought them here as a child.
As for the aggriculture business, that might just be the ONLY business that actually 'needs' illegals, where the media loves to lie about our need for illegals in other businesses. I saw the march's and the "day without an illegal" demonstrations and America didn't even come close to shutting down.
Politicians of course won't get involved due to fear or backlash in the voting populus. Many violating US Code 1423 as they 'aid & Abett' illegals with favorable legislation. Which is dead wrong since you or I do not get by with the same leniency on fines, confiscation or jail time. No one can justify favoring illegals over the very citizens of the country while we are paying for these social programs that illegals rely on to survive.
This is not an easy answer to be sure. But if corrupt Politicians are going to produce favorable legislation, authorities be lenient (like special order 40 in Los Angeles), etc..........illegals will continue to flow into America. And Amnesty will be nothing but a continued "dream" that will NEVER pass, because Authorities haven't dealt with the influx problem yet.

Send the illegals back home ASAP!
