Henry Blodget, editor-in-chief of Business Insider, talks to “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer about today’s revelation that big institutional investors got important information about Facebook before its IPO that smaller and individual investors didn’t — namely, that analysts had revised their estimates of the company’s revenue.

“Institutions have privileged access to the analysts who have privileged access to management — they get numbers, they get insights, that just never appear for individual investors,” Blodget explains.
