“Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer and Sam Seder, host of Ring of Fire and The Majority Report, weigh in on Mayor Bloomberg’s proposal to ban cups or bottles of sodas and other sugary beverages that are larger than 16 ounces. But does size really matter?
Spitzer and Seder agree that limiting the size of such beverages may not be the answer, though Seder questions the outrage over the proposal. “I mean, if you’re a black teenager in this city, the chance of you getting stopped and frisked is somewhere around 110 percent if you’re walking around the streets. So there are much bigger issues than the size of soda,” Seder says.
