Eliot Spitzer hails the decision by Citigroup shareholders to vote down the CEO’s giant pay package as a sign that the people’s will can make a difference. “Our dollars own and could control the companies that we want to influence,” Spitzer says, which gives the public a power that he argues could be exerted more frequently. So he has come up with a new slogan: “Instead of ‘Occupy Wall Street,’ let’s change it a bit, to ‘We Own Wall Street.’”
