Eliot Spitzer urges SCOTUS Justices Thomas, Alito and Scalia to face facts on individual mandate

“Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer argues that the conservative wing of the Supreme Court is wrong in its view of originalism in terms of what the founding fathers stipulated, citing in particular the views of Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Antonin Scalia. Spitzer defends the health care mandate: “True originalism does reflect the desires of the founders — and those desires were that we be smart and nuanced, giving Congress the right to try differing paths and solutions. That is precisely what the individual mandate is all about. That is what smart government is all about.”
