Political satirist and Current TV host John Fugelsang discusses Rick Scarborough’s “40 Days to Save America” campaign — which advocates prayer and fasting in the lead-up to the Nov. 6 election — with “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer.
“Scarborough is the same pastor in Texas who ran that big empty stadium event with Rick Perry last year, that big ‘pray for Rick Perry to become president’ [event],” Fuglsang notes. “I prayed that nobody would show up at that event, and prayer works.”
“It’s entertaining seeing these evangelicals run to the aid of a man that they frankly hate and who 75 percent of Republicans were opposed to the entire primary season,” he adds.
