Although John finds the humor in Donald Trump responding to Bill Maher’s challenge to Trump to prove his citizenship after Trump’s attempts to discredit President Obama, he doesn’t mince words about Trump’s role in the birther movement: “Donald Trump really threw away the last legitimacy he had during the election cycle on this racist birther conspiracy. I want to say that it is racist — Donald Trump has never in his life asked a Caucasian politician to show a birth certificate. Ever.”
