Boston Globe political correspondent Callum Borchers talks to “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer about a recent article he co-authored that reveals Mitt Romney may have worked for Bain Capital until 2002, despite the Romney campaign’s assertion that he left the venture capital firm three years earlier.
The timeline is significant, as Romney has disavowed actions taken by Bain Capital after 1999, claiming he retired from the company that year to run the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. But as Borchers points out: “It’s quite clear from [Romney's] own statements, as early as 2002, that he really did not intend to retire or resign in ’99. They’ve only started using that phrase more recently.”
