Romney’s tax plan comes under fire as Obama gains momentum in swing states

Markos Moulitsas, founder and publisher of the Daily Kos, and Sam Seder, host of “Ring of Fire” and “The Majority Report,” join “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer to discuss strategic tactics for Mitt Romney as polls show President Obama gaining ground in swing states and Romney struggles to establish a stance on tax policy.

A study released by the Tax Policy Center found that Romney’s tax plan will actually decrease taxes on the rich while increasing taxes on the middle class. In response, a Romney spokesperson said that cutting corporate taxes would offset any tax gains on workers by raising their wages, an argument Moulitsas, Seder and Spitzer reject.

“If tax cuts for rich people created jobs, we’d be in economic boom times right now, because we still are suffering the effects of the Bush tax cuts,” Moulitsas says.
