Ari Berman, a contributing writer for The Nation, tells Current TV’s John Fugelsang that the GOP is waging an unprecedented battle against the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and argues that Republicans have created an entire “complex” aimed at suppressing the vote.
“It’s an unfortunate fact for our democracy that we essentially have one party that by and large is supporting expanding the right to vote, and another party that’s done everything possible that it could to restrict the right to vote,” Berman says.
