James Lipton, creator and host of Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio” and founding dean of Pace University’s Actors Studio Drama School, joins “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer to assess Mitt Romney and Barack Obama from a performance perspective. Lipton contends that Romney is “not a good sharer,” but lauds Obama’s ability to be “alive in the moment.” He cites the president’s joke-filled speech at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner as “a great performance,” saying the president was “actually able to convey to us what he was really honest to goodness thinking at the very same time that his mind must have been racing elsewhere because those guys were on their way to kill bin Laden.”
