Will Obamacare and support from female voters help propel Obama to a second term?

Irin Carmon, staff writer for Salon, and David Catanese, political reporter for Politico, join “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer to assess whether President Obama’s recent efforts on the campaign trail to emphasize popular elements of the Affordable Care Act will enable him to hold Mitt Romney at bay. They also talk about whether support among female voters is helping Obama gain momentum in the polls.

Spitzer mentions Sandra Fluke’s recent appearance alongside Obama at a campaign event.

“Who made her an iconic figure?” Carmon asks. “I mean, yes, Democrats made a big deal out of the fact that she had been denied the right to testify, but you had Darrell Issa turning her away and then you had Rush Limbaugh go for days and days. They think this is gonna work? Go for it. You know, knock yourself out. Keep calling Sandra Fluke a slut and see where it gets you.”
