Will the October jobs report shake up the election?

Chrystia Freeland, digital editor for Thomson Reuters, and Robert Scheer, editor-in-chief of Truthdig.com, join “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer to consider whether the jobs report due to be released on Nov. 2 could change the dynamics of the very tight race between President Obama and Mitt Romney just before Election Day.

“I think that there is the beginning of an economic recovery, and I think it’s real and it will be sustained,” Freeland says. “But what worries me is not just getting out of the recession and sort of going back to the status quo of 2007. It is that that economy was fundamentally sick and no one is talking about that.”
