Why oh why did this vulture have an arrow wedged in his chest?
Well I'm guessing some sad sap with a Robin Hood fetish shot him with it. But luckily the vulture did not succumb to death's cold grip after being shot with the medieval weapon. No, he underwent a spot of surgery and is now on the road to a full recovery.
On Wednesday the protected black vulture was seen flying toward the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Florida whilst impaled with the 2 and a half foot arrow. And vets being the caring bunch they are, decided to step in and help the ailing bird. Which they did.
In rather bad taste apparently the bird has been named Arrow by it's keepers at the wildlife sanctuary. Let's hope he has a sense of humour.

So it appears arrows are useless at taking down animals.

Naming him Arrow?? Wow that's some very weird sense of humour.
There was a horrible story about a cat called Dave that got shot by an arrow a few weeks ago. Luckily he survived too!
