A new world record for the largest custard pie fight has been set in Colchester with 253 people gathering to throw 648 pies - filled with 200 litres of custard - in just a few minutes.
Marco Frigatti, vice president of Record Management at Guinness World Records, said the contest had to be conducted under official rules, including measuring the pies, counting them, and having each person in the fight throw at least twice.
The previous record of 120 people was accomplished in Los Angeles in 2008.

I've covered a flash-mob pillow fight in the centre of London before. This sounds equally as fun, but a bit more messy. Good on the people of Colchester.

At last. Us Brits finally managed to break one of those world records for the most people doing something. Loving that was for custard pie fighting.
We failed dismally breaking the record of most people in bikinis a couple of weeks ago!
