London underground map redrawn without the Thames

The London underground map has been redrawn, without the inclusion of the river Thames.

The move is said to "de-clutter" the map, with rings indicating likely cost of journeys also being axed.

Oddly on first glance it's not obvious that anything is missing from the map.

    • I think that is a bad move. Having the river on the map helped to give you your bearings. While the map itself is logical to scale it isn't and once your above ground its virtually meaningless.

    • The river on the map was a good indication of where the station you need to get to was - i normally use to allow going out the places on the other side of the river thinking it was too far for me to travel.
