Electric scooters, bicycles and motorcycles are definitely an important part of the solution -- thanks for working to make this happen! It just doesn't make sense to transport a 2,000 - 6,000lb vehicle to move our 100+lb bodies where we want to go when we are with light payloads. Like the woman in the video, I've even been able to do my photography (I have a green certified photography business in Oakland, CA) transporting myself and my equipment on my electric scooter.
in response to the question by WNYmathGuy below about the impact of electric vehicles on the environment. The truth is that depends on how your electricity is generated. On the West coast we are blessed to have very clean energy so it's no issue for us. In parts of the country that are using coal based electricity it's less clean, but still produces less emissions than petroleum as it's easier to regulate emissions at the plant then at each tailpipe.
The great thing about electric vehicles is that you can improve the means of electricity production without having to replace the vehicle fleet -- and you can install improved batteries as technology improves without replacing the entire vehicle!

I researched theses types of scooters for a while . I was most excited about the falcon EV hummer . Too bad i could not afford it . I got a g bike and am happy i did .

I'm pretty impressed. How many amps does the charger pull when it's charging?
There's a rumor that plug-in electric vehicles are close to carbon neutral relative to gas powered because a power company has to burn fuel to make the electricity for the charger. Any more about that?
Does the scooter do smart things like freewheel downhill with throttle off? Or better yet recharge during mild braking like the hybrids do?
