Collegiate Athletics and Academics on two different entry levels?

Say it ain't so. It sounds like Spurrier expects the school to let in students that can play a game, but not actually qualify to attend the university under their academic requirements. What a travesty. (hint of sarcasm)
We all know that the NCAA system is a mess and this is only one more example of it.

    • love the stacked alphabetical select box interface on the graduation rate site - cutting edge!! and... if only they would create a place for Spurrier to operate without restrictions, imagine the titles he would win! Salary caps, meddling owners, admissions departments - it's just so unfair!

    • If anyone is interested, here are the graduation rates for every Division I school. There is a great tool to use if you're looking for trash talk material - example: why is USC significantly lower than UCLA?

    • I love Spurrier's quote: "I can't operate like this," i.e. I can't win football games if I have to worry about the school's academic reputation. That whole recruiting scene is such a mess.
