Let's have a little guessing game. Who is your pick for...
1. Eastern Conference Champion
2. Western Conference Champion
3. MVP
4. Rookie of the Year (can't pick Durant!)
5. Finals Championship
6. Wild Card (pick the team that you think will do X)

My picks? Funny you should ask
1. Boston Celtics
2. Phoenix Suns
3. LeBron James (Kobe will deserve it but they'll give it to someone else, maybe KG but i'd bet on others before him.)
4. Al Thorton. This guy will be great for the Clippers and with EB out at the moment he will have the opportunity to show people what he can do in a role position. not some rook coming off the pine. Still can't believe so many teams passed on him.
5. Phoenix Suns. Grant Hill helps out a little (especially on defense) but isn't my reason for the pick. Basically I just don't think the Spurs can win again.
6. Golden State Warriors will have home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They have a really good team and although they didn't really improve much they are going to beat a lot more teams this year if everyone (BD) can stay healthy. Oh and Jack-O doesn't kill somebody and get sent up river.

    • 1. Sixers in a repeat, holding off the Celtics and the up-and-coming Bucks

      2. Lakers

      3. Bernard King of the Knicks is poised for a breakout year

      4. is there any question? Sampson. He's also a contender for the MVP if they'll give it to a rookie.

      5. Lakers get their revenge, as J has lost a step and Moses isn't as hungry.

      6. Led by silky-smooth scoring machine Alex English, and long-range bomber Kiki Vandeweghe, the Nuggets will put a scare into the hearts of Laker fans in round 2 of the Western Conference playoffs before succumbing in 6.

    • Here you go:

      East Champs - Chicago
      West Champs - San Antonio
MVP - KG (but agree, Kobe will deserve it and will be passed over again)
ROY - Corey Brewer or Marco Bellinini
NBA Champs - San Antonio (I hate to say it, but I think they have too much)
Surprises - Atlanta, Memphis, Lakers. Hard picking the Lakers as a 'surprise' team but I think they'll be a lot better than everyone thinks as long as (wait for it) Luke Walton can stay healthy the entire season.
