Mets set to reward .251 career hitting Torrealba with $14.4 million for his one playoff home run!

We all loved and appreciated Yorvit's contributions during his days as backup catcher for the Giants, Mariners, and Rockies... as this year's "Mr. October," he hit .200 during that exciting NLCS whooping of the D-backs and with one swing, and one swing alone, (it's amazing how one home run can make you a legend, just ask Kirk Gibson, though Yorvit's shot might not be as immortal is Gibby's) the Mets forgot all about the rest of his career stats and gave this guy $14.4 million to get booed for the next 3 years (I do hope I'm wrong about this)...
Way to go Wilpon ownership...

    • here's a wrap up of the A Rod deal with the Yanks. When is it gonna be time for salary caps in the major leagues? How about we pay you non-ridiculous sums of money and the team can pay for most of the new stadium next time?
