After knocking off another Top-10 team (sorry Oregon - we started a 4th string QB converted from WR the last few weeks, we don't have any sympathy for your injury woes) UCLA suddenly finds itself right where it belongs - in the thick of the Race to the Roses.
Sure, our Bruins need a little help from Arizona if we can knock the evil Trojans off again, but oh how sweet it would be. Again.

Please don't claim to be a UCLA boy when you can't spell. That's much more 'SC's M.O.

Frustrated by lack of progress on a lease agreement with the Coliseum Commission -- one that would allow the school to run and renovate the venerable Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum -- USC is negotiating with the Rose Bowl to begin playing home games in Pasadena next fall.
Please please please say it ain't so. I mean, I know that 'SC is desperate to get back to the Rose Bowl, but not this way. C'mon. You should have enough money to build your own damn stadium...or are you spending too much of it paying your players?

klenga - a win definitely puts us within striking distance of the Top-25. But you know what? If we end up in the Rose Bowl it won't matter whether we are or aren't ranked.
dgreene - there will be no destruction. We're a big underdog in this game, but it will make it that much sweeter when we pull the upset again.

I will hold my taunts this year and just hope that Pete C does a bit more motivating before the game this time.
I hate the BCS though ... even if we go to the rose bowl ... still no watching the band march down colorado blvd before walking to the game on new years as its supposed to be.

Oh and I agree, Hawaii definitely deserves love. That was an impressive win against Boise State last weekend. And undefeated is hard to do, regardless of WHAT conference you're in. But you know how it is..... the voters are SO damn biased towards the SEC and the BIG 12.

FUCLA!
It's all about the Trojans baby. Just like every season of years past, UCLA starts out with everyone saying "this will be the season they break out from under USC's shadow," but alas...... never happens.
And congrats for knocking off Oregon when they're HEISMAN TROPHY caliber QB is out. They're not the same team everyone had to play in the first half of the season. Not even close. CAL is the only team that can claim they beat Oregon and have it mean anything.
You guys just want to be spoil sports! ;)
I hope the Trojans wazzzzooop some FUCLA booty :)

Tori - as long as they beat Washington next week, I think they'll make it to one of the BCS games a la Boise St last year. I'd love to see them playing a team from one of the "premier" conferences and just take it to them.

Ok, so my hometown bias is going to come out here, but what's poor Hawaii have to do to get some love? They are, I believe, the only undefeated team there is, and they still haven't cracked the top 10? I get it, their schedule is easy. But they're still 11-0. And keep in mind, any schedule that involves repeated travel to and from Hawaii has a difficulty that no road trip can ever provide - there's no such thing as a "road" trip for a school on an island!
