No one was greater and more deserving executive in the history of baseball to get into the hall than Walter Alston...
Yes he moved the Dodgers away from beloved Ebbets Field and Brooklyn...
He is every reason why the Dodgers history is so revered today...
He owned the team from 1944-1979, an era where he ushed in Jackie Robinson, brought the first of a number of World Series titles to the franchise with their unforgetable 1955 championship...
Every Dodger fan whether in Brooklyn or L.A. owe an insurmountable ammount of gratitude to this man...
And it's about time he gets recognized for what he's done...
His sone took over the team in 1979 and ran the team well... ushering in Fernando-mania and Nomo-mania... before realizing the third generation of O'Malleys were inept turds and was forced to sell to Rupert Murdoch who later defacated onto the franchise and ruined almost everything the O'Malley's accomplished...
There is no way in hell Frank McCourt can fill these shoes no matter how many ex-Red Sox and ex- Yankees he brings to town...
And Dick Williams was just an awesome manager throughout the 70's and 80's with the A's, Red Sox, and Padres- taking 3 World Series with 3 teams...
