For a moment, it looked like Tom Brady and the Pats were once again the victors as he drove his for what looked to be the winning drive with 2:30 minutes remaining. The Giants, however, would not let up.
Eli Manning, who for years has been defined as not "winning the big game", came through with an 80 yard drive in the closing minutes. The drive will always be remembered for Eli Manning getting away from 3 Pats defenders and completing a pass that was hauled in by a Giants receiver. The winning catch was caught by Plaxico Burress.
The Giants came in as 12.5 point underdogs and walk away from Phoenix as Super Bowl champions.

Well, that's what a good defensive line is supposed to do, penetrate, disrupt the backfield and hit whoever has the ball. I do have to say though, I couldn't believe manning got out of that sack. I thought the game was over till he rolled out to the side and fired the ball off.

And I thought I was the only one who thought Bellichick leaving the game was poor sportsmanship. I thought it was nice seeing those showboats get shut up.

Yep. Definitely had no idea this was going to happen. It would've been interesting to see the Pats have a perfect season though. Oh well.

Well at least thier coach is as classy as ever. I mean doing things likd leaving a field uncovered the night before the AFC title game, refusing to shake opponents hands after a loss, terse one word answers, and lets not forget my favorite taping the other teams signals. Actualy compared with all that his storming off the field doesn't seem all that out of form now does it? Some people can dish it and take it out, Bellichick is not one of them.

All those guys in the booth wearing those Boston hats saying they wanted to see a new dynasty, apparently didn't see the Eli beat Green Bay in minus 40 below wind chill. Them Giants were hungry! They have won 10 games in a row, on the road! That New York sports news media must be a monster.

Thank god this is over. I was getting tired of that "best team ever" crap, too. It was ridiculous. I can't wait to hear Mercury's newest flow about the Patriots!! lol

I think Tom Brady sold out. The whole game he did what he did but with 30 seconds left in the game, 3 timeouts, and the Superbowls could go to overtime with only a field goal. #12 throws 2 bad passes and gets hit hard. 3 timeouts, and all you need is a field go. 3 time outs!

WALLACE: And finally, Senator, we've got about 30 seconds left for you to give your answer to the big question — Patriots or Giants?
CLINTON: Well, Chris, we have a Super Bowl Sunday night and we have a Super Tuesday on Tuesday, and I'm hoping that the New York team wins both and wins big.
WALLACE: All right. Thank you, Senator. We want to thank you so much for talking with us, giving those double predictions, political and sports. And safe travels on the campaign trail, Senator.
CLINTON: Thanks a lot, Chris.
Well, she called the game, how about super Tuesday?

The 4th quarter had to be the best in Super Bowl history, at least I haven't seen anything as good. Now if only the Cleveland Browns could be the next underdog Super Bowl Champs!

Yeah Giants! Been waiting for this. One of the best Super Bowls ever! And they may be from NY but they play here in NJ so I feel like this is a win for NJ too!
