The highly touted prospect that had hype thrown on his shoulders when Michael Lewis and Billy Beane emphasized the traits Jeremy Brown had that led to the A's drafting him in the first round of the 2002 draft... has officially retired after 6 years of baseball...
He did make it to the big show once in 2006, and got 3 hits in 10 at bats...
Finishing with a career batting average of .300 and an OPS of 1.24.
