The IOC asked the International Gymnastics Federation to investigate "what have been a number of questions and apparent discrepancies," spokeswoman Giselle Davies said. But all of the information the Chinese gymnastics federation has presented so far supports its insistence that its athletes were old enough to compete.
"We believe the matter will be put to rest and there's no question ... on the eligibility," Davies said. "The information we have received seems satisfactory in terms of the correct documentation -- including birth certificates.""
Head in sand, people.

Ok think, think real hard.
About all the bad things China has done in recent years. Say, the last 5.
Now, tell me you're surprised China *could* have cheated at the games. Great, now explain to me why this is so surprising and why it's *such* a big deal compared to everything else going on in China right now.You can't prove it. China doctored documents. Move on.
Thank you.

You're clearly having trouble with this. If she's not 16, she's not eligible to participate. Younger girls have an ADVANTAGE over older ones in gymnastics.

Quit Hating on this poor little girl. She kicked everyone's ass. Doesn't that mean she's the best in the world? Most all Chinese girls are small. Olympics Hello...Quit trying to take away what she clearly won.

The gymnasts in question would have to have a fake passport, since it was used originally by all the Chinese gymnasts for identification. A 'doctored' passport is as easy to create by the Chinese government as a 'doctored' birth certificate. Don't close this case just yet...
