The soap opera that is the Oakland Raiders front office makes for great theater, but a horrid way to run a professional football franchise. The biggest piece to the drama is the lack of any significant official comments one way or another on the situation dating back to the beginning of the Lane Kiffin saga in January. There is one way that this drama could be put to bed for good, and that would be for Al Davis to hold court with the media and answer some questions about what is going on inside Raiders headquarters.

    • Any real Raider fan wouldn't pay this nonsense any mind. I've been a Raider fan since they moved to LA in '82 and this is familiar territory as far as I'm concerned. I heard the same things in the late 80's and the mid-late 90's when we struggled. We're constantly bashed and demonized by sports media, even when things are going well. Is there really any wonder Al doesn't communicate with them?

We have some good young talent developing at our skill positions. Our offensive and defensive lines still need some help, especially the offensive tackle and defensive end positions. We'll be alright. But once we're competing at a high level again, we'll still get bashed by the media. That's a given.
